Tableless website design is an advanced technology of web
designing. But, how exactly a tableless website is designed and why is
it preferred? Let me answer to this in brief.
According to the latest search engine optimization technology,
search engines crawlers or robots like less HTML coding on a webpage
and sometimes even skip HTML coded tables and so its content. So it
becomes difficult to read a webpage and indexed it properly.
Hence a tabless website is prefered. What actually I do to design a
tableless website. Instead of HTML coded tables, I use style sheets
like CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to put text and other elements, which
look similar to HTML coded tables.
CSS layout is better than table based layout for a number of
reasons. A few to describe here is faster page load time in major
browsers. Further, the redesigning of such a webpage is easy and less
expensive. The most important one is that CSS based website layout is
SEO friendly.
